2-Year-Old Frozen To Death On Front Porch And You Won’t Believe Who Was Responsible
A mother comes home and finds her two-year-old child frozen dead on the porch of the family’s house in Akron, Ohio after she reportedly wandered from home when her husband fell asleep, reports state.
The mother of the toddler, Wynter Parker, had reportedly gone out for a few hours on Friday and when she came home she found her child unresponsive in the freezing temperature on their apartment’s front porch, according to the police.
Reports state that the mother frantically called 911 after seeing her daughter lying outside and reportedly screamed “she’s frozen,” according to The Akron Beacon Journal.
When the mother got the emergency services dispatcher on the phone, they talked her through mouth-to-mouth CPR until the paramedics arrived at the home around 3:30 p.m.
The child was then rushed to the Akron Children’s Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The temperatures last Friday ranged between 12 and 19 degrees Fahrenheit.
The neighbors reported to WKYC that the mother has two children and one woman of the neighborhood said that there have been many times that the children were outside playing unsupervised and she had to be the one to bring the kids home to their mother sometimes.
“It was a few times where I had to take both of her kids home,” Christal Lucas said. “It’s just a very sad situation. It literally broke my heart.”
The Summit County Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident. No charges have been filed in the case yet. The Summit County Medical Examiner is scheduled to conduct an autopsy soon.
Reports state that the porch of the family’s apartment building was dedicated for a memorial of stuffed animals in remembrance of the little girl.
