Dubai Hotels Plead With Russian Models To Stop Posting These ‘Erotic’ Images
A five-star hotel in Dubai has requested a group of Instagram models stop posting ‘erotic’ photographs from the grounds of their family-friendly complex.
The Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah was descended upon by a group of international models who were on location in Dubai for a high end fashion shoot.
As should be expected, the models – who were working for designer Anna Chibisova’s brand D’AngelAnn – took to Instagram to share a few personal snaps with their reams of followers.
However, the management at the family-friendly luxury hotel expressed concerns after they said the so-called ‘erotic photos’ popped up on Instagram, geo-located for all their prospective customers to see.
A hotel spokesman said:
You have to understand that this is an Arab country. We have had a lot of complaints from families with young children.
The spokesperson added:
We do not want to see our geolocation on photos of girls in semi-naked and erotic poses.
Let the photograph simply state the location as Dubai.
The Mirror reports that 25 Russian models were in attendance for the glamorous shoot and they all took up residence at the Waldorf for its duration, where the hotel suites can cost up to £1,000 a night.
The models, including the wife of an Irish billionaire, 37-year-old Victoria Bonya and 24-year-old reality TV show star Alena Shishkova.
Among these allegedly familiar faces were Alina Lobacheva, model and photographer Dasha Mart and Lily Ermak.
Personally I do not publish inappropriate photos, and here I mean half-naked photos.
They have a different mentality in the UAE and by law it is forbidden to publish such photos.
But the hotel bosses said their chief concern was the comfort of their guests.
Presumably in the million-pound complex over a bottle of champagne worth more than my year’s salary… just saying.
