British tourist is arrested after prostitute fell to her death as they had ‘very strange, extravagant sex’ on a balcony
In bizarre circumstances, a British tourist has been arrested in Thailand in connection with the death of a prostitute.
The prostitute named Wannipa fell to her death after falling from a hotel balcony in a notorious resort in Thailand on Saturday.
It is believed that Wannipa Janhuathon was having risky sex on the balcony with the British tourist when she fell to her death.
In the same vein, the name of the tourist has been discovered to be Reece Vella, a twenty-five-year-old man.
Reece Vella who hails from Birmingham has been arrested by the local Thai police for a myriad of offenses.
Chief among the crimes leveled against Reece include negligence leading to the death of a civilian.
In the aftermath of his arrest, Reece Vella’s family has come out to protest the innocence of the twenty-five-year-old who served in the British army.
Vella was a private in the Royal Logistics Corps, headquartered at Deepcut Barracks in Surrey until he left nearly five years ago.
According to his family, since leaving the British army all those years ago, Reece Vella has exhibited signs of chronic PTSD.
His family members have revealed that they are concerned about his health after it was revealed that he had not had anything to eat or drink since he was taken into custody.
During his service, his brother Andrayoss claimed he was one of the top 100 shots in the British Army.
Although, he quit the army after chronic PTSD began to interfere with his performance.
According to his brother whose name is unknown, his brother suffered from depression and fell in with the wrong crowd afterward.
Vella had been arrested on suspicion of ‘negligence causing others to die’, fleeing the scene of a murder, staying in the country illegally on an expired visa and stealing a motorbike.
Reece was briefly allowed to make contact with his family on Monday and, according to Andrayoss, said he was being asked for £12,000 to ensure he is given food and water.
Andrayoss also confirmed that Reece didn’t steal any motorbikes.
Apparently, Reece had hired it and was due to return it on the day he was arrested.
The prostitute suffered severe head injuries and multiple fractures after falling naked from the balcony.
A half-empty packet of sex drugs from an apartment in the notorious tourist resort also fell with her.
Police searched the empty room – finding clothes and used condoms – then began a manhunt for the Briton amid suspicions that he had fled the scene.
Vella, from Birmingham, West Midlands, was arrested yesterday afternoon at the nearby Route CC Roadhouse bar.
The former British army private was caught in possession of two mobile phones, one of which police claim was Wannipa’s handset.
He moved from the semi-detached family home in Worcester to Thailand to start a new life four months ago.
Vella’s brother Andrayoss says that the family has been absolutely destroyed by the news.
Nevertheless, they still maintain that Vella is innocent.
Andrayoss was quoted as saying,
“We are in pieces. Extremely upset. My gran is terrified, mum has been crying and dad can’t bring himself to talk about it.
‘It was an accident. We know it was. People said he ran away after the crime but we don’t know anything about that.
‘We feel really sorry for the girl and her family. What has happened is horrible.”
Vella has since admitted to police that he had taken the prostitute back to his rented room and that they had sex in the bedroom then on the balcony before she fell.
